Usually you think of a hero as a person, such as a police officer or a firefighter. However heroes can come in unexpected forms. This story is about how an under-dog becomes a wonder-dog. It is possible for a pet to be a hero.
As an animal lover, I know how wonderful pets can be. They bring comfort when you’re sad, and love when it is most needed. This caring relationship creates a bond between the pet, and its owner, each realizing they need to protect each other. ChiChi, a chihuaha dog, alerted his owner by barking that there were people swimming in the ocean that needed help. Although ChiChi did not save his owner, he knew to help and protect people. His owners recognized that ChiChi was a hero, who helped to save the lives of the two drowning women.
The world is full of heroes, you just have to open your eyes, and ears to their stories. Heroes go above and beyond, and it is important to reward their good work. Whether it is a police officer, fire fighter, truck driver, teacher, or pet heroes deserve to be recognized and thanked for the things they do to make the world a better place
